Billy Cowie is a Scottish composer/choreographer/filmmaker/writer. He works principally in the area of dance/theatre performance, screen dance and installation.
His installation In the Flesh has been presented at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Sadler’s Wells, Tramway Amsterdam, EMPAC, Dancebase, Bargate Gallery Southampton, Shoot Festival Sweden, and won the Delegate’s Prize at the IMZ Festival in the Hague.
The Revery Alone was previewed at the Kahn Theatre, Sadler’s Wells London, premiered at Cinecity Festival (Brighton, Dec 2008), and also screened at Temps d’Images Festival (Düsseldorf, Jan 2009) and the National Review Live Art (Glasgow, Feb 2009).
His novel Passenger was published by Old Street Publishing in January 2008.
