Inspired by a love of music and dance, coupled with the determination to help young people to develop their innate creative talent, Hip Hop dance company Boy Blue Entertainment was founded in London in 2001 by choreographer Kenrick Sandy and music producer Michael Asante.
Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy is a choreographer, performer and teacher. As a jobbing dancer his CV is impressive. His video credits include working with Misteeq, Sugababes, Fergie, Beverley Knight, Big Brovas, Victoria Beckham, George Michael, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Dizzee Rascal and All Saints. As a theatre performer his national and international experience is extensive, having performed in a number of high profile productions including Slam Dunk Hip Hop Musical, Da Wiz and Bounce. His choreographic work for the theatre includes Pied Piper 2006, Medea 2007 and Da Blacks 2007 for Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Mikey J Asante is a music producer, singer and songwriter. As well as the prolific music he has created for Boy Blue Entertainment, he performs and writes with legendary UK Hip Hop and Garage Artist Kano. His numerous music production credits cut across both the commercial and arts world including composing the music for Fiat 500 Reveal launch, the Black Policeman’s Association Annual event, Nike – Dance Clash and Funkphysics, the opening for the Tour De France in Trafalgar Square, the Ghanaian Independence Event in 2007 and commissions for Grange Park Opera. As a singer, performer and music producer, he has also worked with Kenny Arkana, The Mitchell Brothers, Shystie, Amadou & Mariam and Shawn Emmanuel.
