Iona Kewney initially trained in Fine Art and became a painter/printmaker. She went on to attend the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. Iona has been performing solos for 15 years with live musicians and/or objects/artworks and improvised texts of her own. Throughout this time she has worked in some major Belgium dance companies and also trained at Cirkuspiloterna School in Sweden. Iona regularly makes drawings and paintings for exhibitions.
