Since being founded in 1913, Birmingham Repertory Theatre has been one of the leading national producing theatre companies. It has introduced a range of new and foreign plays to the British theatre repertoire, and has been a springboard for many internationally acclaimed actors, designers and directors.
The company moved to its current home on Centenary Square in 1971. The theatre has two auditoria – the Main House which seats 824 and The Door studio theatre which seats 140. The REP is currently looking forward to the future development with the new Library of Birmingham which will see a third auditoria added to the current building.
Under the Artistic Direction of Rachel Kavanaugh, The REP is enjoying great success with a busy and exciting programme.
